Exfoliating: AHA & BHA

AHAs and BHAs are both exfoliating ingredients than can resurface skin by improving dead skin cell buildup and clogged pores. AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) primarily work on the surface of the skin, promoting the metabolism of the stratum corneum (dead skin cells) to improve uneven skin tone; whereas BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids / Salicylic Acid) are lipid-soluble, allowing them to penetrate deep into the pores to clear accumulated sebum and impurities, effectively targeting blackheads and acne.
